BEFORE YOU START, THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW IN ORDER TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR YOGA PRACTICE

  1. Choose a clean and quiet room where you will have some privacy and minimum distraction. Find a comfortable place with lots of fresh air.

  2. Always practice on an empty stomach. Doing yoga right after mealtime will hinder your practice. In order for your experience to be pleasant, your stomach can’t be digesting something heavy. Eat 2- 3 hours before your practice.

  3. Use a yoga mat for the hard floor might hurt your bones.

  4. Release the tension. The more you let go and release the stress from your body, the easier every pose will feel.

  5. Normal breathing is key. Just follow the simple breathing technique. Try to think about lengthening your inhales and exhales. It’s the best way to calm down.

  6.  Whenever you bend forward- breath out and whenever you bend backwards- breathe in. Similarly, whenever you bend sideways- breath out and when you come back- breathe in.

  7. Wear comfortable attire.

  8. Try to make a routine out of it. Practice daily in the same time frame. Early morning is an ideal time to practice yoga.

  9. If you are pregnant, do not practice yoga alone. Always seek guidance.

  10. Before doing any yoga pose, make sure that it doesn’t affect (for the worse) your health issues if you have any.
