
PUJANGASANA
(COBRA POSE)

Before you start with any asana or breathing exercise, it is always advised to start with a warm-up yoga.
​
Cobra Posture (Pujangasana)
Benefits:

Strengthens the stomach muscles and improve the effective digestion process.
-
It keeps back muscles and backbone system in a healthy condition.
-
It increases lung, kidney, thyroid glands, and immune system function.
-
It helps for curing lower back pain, asthma, gastric trouble, and constipation.
How to do?

Lie down on your stomach in a way that full front body touching the floor; keep your hand near to the chest and el-bow raised upwards, breath normally. Remember your leg should be straight, together and toes stretched out.

While Breath in raise your upper body up to the hip level and bend your neck to see the roof.

Keep your face muscles relaxed and smiling. Feel the stretch around stomach and back muscles while breathing in and feel the relaxation while breathing out.

Stay there in this position for 3 rounds of breath-in & breath-out cycle. After that breath-out and go back to the normal position. Perform this for 2-3 times.
Caution:
-
Those who have severe neck pain don’t force to do more neck bending. Attempting this upto comfortable level will relieve and lower your neck pain in a longer run.
